There are many causes of knee pain. You may be familiar with causes from acute trauma, such as severe impacts, sprains, or tears in ligaments. However, Knee pain can also onset slowly over time and remain persistent. This is called chronic knee pain and is often associated with Osteoarthritis, which can require a different type of knee pain treatment.

Here at Reflex, your experience will to be a positive one. Treating knee pain from osteoarthritis is our specialty and we understand the long term commitment required to live a happy, healthy, and active life while overcoming chronic knee pain. This section of the website provides helpful information for your appointments with us so you know what to expect.

What you need to know

When it is time for your appointment, here are some important things to remember:

  • If you are a new patient, you can expect to spend 60 minutes at our office for your initial evaluation and knee pain treatment consultation. A typical injection-only or follow-up appointment will last 20-30 minutes.
  • The day of your appointment, remember to bring your insurance cards and photo ID, so our receptionist can make copies to keep in your medical file.
  • Our physicians will also need to know all of the medications you are currently taking. Please bring a list of these medications and dosages to your first appointment, or the medications in the bottles as received from the pharmacy.
  • Prior diagnostic films, X-rays, reports and medical records are also useful if they are available.
  • If you have an email address we will send your intake paperwork to be completed before your appointment. If you do not have an email address we ask that you come in 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete your forms.
  • The physicians will need to easily access your knees. Please wear or bring shorts or pants you can easily pull over your knees.

We encourage you to call us anytime you have a questions about your knee pain treatment. Non-emergency calls are best handled during business hours. Emergency and after-hours calls are handled by our answering service or forwarded to the physician on-call.

Office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (except holidays).
